Lord, it is almost time, and my stomach is in knots. Your word says You are on my side, so I will not be afraid of what a person across a desk can do; let that settle into me in these last few minutes before I walk in. Steady my hands and my breathing. Clear my mind of the worst-case scenarios I keep rehearsing, and bring back to me what I actually know and have done. Help me be warm, present, and honest — not performing for approval, simply showing who I am. If this is the right place, open the way; if it is not, keep me from being crushed by it and point me onward. You are with me on this side of the door, Lord. Walk in beside me. Amen.
